Rethink is a project developed as part of a unit on research and documentation in speculative design, branding, and visual identity. The A5 book was manually printed and bookbound at university, showcasing the insights and analysis gathered throughout the creative process. It explores ideation, research, and development, documenting the journey from initial concepts to the final outcome. Through this project, I aimed to critically reflect on design methodologies while experimenting with materials and print techniques to create a tangible piece.

From waste to resource?

From Waste to Resource is a speculative design project imagining a future where food waste is turned into energy, creating a more sustainable and efficient system. This brand explores new ways to reuse organic waste, helping to reduce harm to the environment while supporting the economy. The concept behind it was to combine nature, technology, and sustainability, using natural elements to show how waste can become a valuable resource and therefore stop the use of fossil fuels. This project questions current consumption habits and encourages a shift towards renewable solutions that help both people and the planet.

Presenting to Imagination

A key aspect of this project was the collaboration with the design studio Imagination, which provided valuable feedback and helped us refine our approach to design and branding. This experience was incredibly enriching, as, despite the studio’s size, we felt welcomed and supported throughout the process. Their insights allowed us to see design from a new perspective and enhance our creative thinking.

Lastly, thanks to the university’s resources and industry talks, we gained essential tools to improve our ability to present our work professionally. This guidance has helped prepare us for real-world industry standards and strengthened our confidence in showcasing our designs.
